Anue Systems, a company focused on network visibility systems, announced the availability of packet processing features for its Net Tool Optimizer (NTO) 5200 series.

The features help network engineers with monitoring tool performance.

The Company said IT organizations face the challenges of maintaining the security of their network. To meet these challenges, they deploy an ever increasing number of network monitoring tools, including IDS/IPS systems and network recorders. Each monitoring tool requires access to the data traversing the network, which is typically achieved by connecting the tools via a TAP or SPAN port. However, many monitoring tools only need specific portions of the data for analysis. Indiscriminately sending the complete data stream to each monitoring tool effectively lowers the performance.

According to a release, the Anue NTO provides four packet processing features to help IT organizations with network monitoring tool performance.
